 The trailer of Mani Ratnam's movie 'Ponniyan Selvan 1' is out. This is the first part of Mani Ratnam's two-part film based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's Tamil novel 'Ponniyan Selvan' with the saga of the Chola Mahasamrajya. Vikram, Jayamravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha and Shobhita Dhulipala played the lead roles. The PS1 trailer with a length of 3 minutes 20 seconds raised the expectations of the film to a great extent.The trailer begins with a voice saying, "A thousand years ago, before the dawn of the Cholanata Golden Age, a comet appeared in the sky. Astrologers say that the comet is asking for the sacrifice of one of the Chola Raja caste." The trailer shows how grandiose the film is. This trailer shows that Mani Ratnam has made this historical movie with international standards.
